Job description

Job Overview : Under guidance, contributes to the improvement of operational metrics (revenue, gross margin, operating income, utilization, client satisfaction, and opportunity pipeline) through the execution of portions of operational processes and procedures.

Assists with the implementation of process improvements.

Works closely with the Business Development and Strategic Projects business lead to grow the IQVIA Southern Africa business.

Essential Functions :
  1. Supports operations initiatives such as opportunity management, resource planning, management tracking and forecasting, customer relationship management, customer satisfaction programs, operational excellence initiatives, or other operations systems and infrastructure projects.
  2. Supports the business development function with setting up business cases and presentations for new opportunities.
  3. Assists with administrative functions for external events hosted and attended by IQVIA.
  4. Conducts desktop research of markets where IQVIA operates for input into strategic documents.
  5. Proactively develops knowledge of the business and functions.
  6. Assists local functions by tracking, providing frequent reports, reporting progress, and highlighting potential issues as opportunities.
  7. Documents and coordinates processes and systems rollouts, ensuring appropriate follow-up on actions leading to the seamless execution of plans.
Qualifications :
  1. Bachelor's Degree required; B.Eng / BSc.Eng (Industrial) preferred.
  2. Two years of relevant operations experience or working knowledge of IQVIA products and systems preferred.
  3. Good PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills required.
  4. Good problem-solving and design thinking capabilities required.
  5. Working knowledge of financial P&L statements, macro-economic factors, and relevant levers to optimize business growth preferred.
  6. Good focus on process and detail; good interpersonal and communication skills.
