About The Role

We are seeking Senior Consultant candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience to join our Johannesburg team in South Africa.

The role involves providing financial due diligence services, including buy-side and sell-side due diligence, vendor assist services, and exit readiness reviews. You will collaborate with team members to deliver quality outputs, contribute to business growth, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyzing and modeling the financial performance of acquisition targets, including profitability, liquidity, and solvency assessments.
  2. Reviewing historical performance against budgets and investigating variances.
  3. Preparing financial due diligence reports and working with large datasets to identify key metrics and trends.
  4. Identifying risks and issues in financial health, including cash flow, working capital, and earnings quality.
  5. Managing smaller projects or sections of larger projects, including buy/sell-side, refinancing, and equity transactions.
  6. Coordinating with clients, target management, and mentoring junior staff.
  7. Communicating key findings and insights to clients and senior team members.
  8. Supporting business development activities, including target identification and pitch preparation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of M&A, transactions, or valuation experience.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or working towards certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or working towards certification.
  • Experience in audit or consulting firms.
  • Strong teamwork, risk assessment, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
