Job Purpose

The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to maintain and report on the Provincial Immovable Asset Register and to undertake vesting and other ownership matters.

An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 year relevant experience.

Recommendation

Experience working on BAS (Basic Accounting System); Avalid code B drivers license.

Key Performance Areas

Collect, maintain, analyse, process and report on all data on the Provincial Property Register(IAR); Understake the vesting of ownership of properties in th ename of Provincial Government of the Western Cape; Keep record of all property ownership related information; Ensure completeness of information on the IAR; Collect analyse, process and report on all data U-Amps and assist with compilation of C-Amp.

Knowledge of the following: Government IAM act; Municipal valuation rolls; Conveyancing procedures; Read and interpret SG Diagrams and Read and interpret Title deeds, restrictive conditions and clouses. Skills in the following: communictaion (written and verbal); Computer literacy in Ms office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Remuneration

R308 154 per annum (Salary level 7)

Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
