Job Objectives

• The successful incumbent (Toolmaker/Fitter & Turner) must be competent in reading mechanical drawings, planning, and completing tasks as set out on the drawings.
• Operate surface grinders for all components to be manufactured.
• Maintain quality and tolerances as stipulated for all assigned tasks and complete tasks as per project timing requirements.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and manufacture all items broken down into individual components.
• Perform surface grinding and measure components.
• Machine to close tolerances.
• Conduct QC checks on final surface-ground components.
• Fault find on problem areas.
• Work accurately and meet deadlines as per project requirements.
