Job description

Job Title:

Trainee Accountant

Function / Department:

Accounting and Audit

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Executing audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  2. Preparation of audit reports for management and stakeholders.
  3. Proactively addressing client concerns and escalating issues to the Manager as they arise.
  4. Collaborating with the Manager to guide Juniors and interns to monitor productivity and workplan schedule.
  5. Overseeing fieldwork and coordinating deliverables from multiple team members.
  6. Auditing and documenting basic and complex audit sections, including financial statements (CaseWare, Draft works).
  7. Preparing and submitting different types of tax documents.
  8. Preparing and reviewing management accounts.
  9. Providing timely, high-quality client services, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating all client deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Final Year or Completed Postgraduate Diploma / Honours degree in Accounting from a SAICA-accredited university.
  • No Criminal Record.
  • No prior experience required.
