Job description

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Our client is seeking a driven, result-oriented Business Development Manager to expand their global footprint and accelerate long-term growth. If you have a passion for client engagement, developing innovative solutions, and closing new business opportunities, this is your chance to play a key role at the forefront of a high-impact industry.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Matric with a minimum average of 85% (non-negotiable). A copy of the matric certificate is required.
  2. BEng or BSc degree (excluding BTech) in Engineering – specifically in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Aeronautical, or Industrial Engineering – or a BCom degree. Please note: Chemical and Civil Engineering qualifications are not considered.
  3. Recent graduates are preferred, as this is an entry-level position.
  4. Preferred age range: 23-28 years.
  5. Experience in project or business management (advantageous).
  6. Willing to travel internationally and hold a valid passport.
  7. Proficient in IT.
  8. Own reliable transport.
  9. Dress code is strictly professional; must be well presented at all times.
  10. Available immediately (advantageous).

Responsibilities:

  2. Client Engagement: Contact potential clients to establish a network and arrange meetings, both foreign and domestic.
  3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain high-level relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs and challenges.
  4. Event Participation: Attend conferences, meetings, and industry-related events.
  5. Marketing Initiatives: Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives.
  6. Solution Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to tailor products or services that meet client specifications across various international markets.
  7. Proposal Development: Create and present proposals demonstrating the value of the company's offerings.
  8. Growth Strategy: Develop strategies focused on company and client satisfaction, ensuring financial feasibility.
  9. Contract Preparation: Prepare contracts post-commitment, ensuring legal and legislative compliance.
  10. Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, compliance, and technical teams for strategic alignment.
  11. Project Management: Initiate, plan, implement, and monitor projects through to completion, including post-project support.
