Assistant to Managing Director – Cape Town Northern Suburbs.

Do you have business acumen to deal with various business situations in a way that is likely to lead to a good outcome? Our client who manages various portfolios requires a general assistant to assist with administrative, operational and financial functions.

The ideal candidate should be interested in business operations with the willingness to learn and grow within the company.

This role requires your own vehicle and drivers license.

Requirements:

  • Matric, relevant tertiary qualification in business management advantageous
  • Strong business acumen
  • Computer literate in MS Office
  • Experience with Pastel, or any other ERP system
  • Handle sensitive business information with professionalism
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Anticipate needs, suggest improvements, and resolve issues independently
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment
  • Valid SA drivers license and own vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange for maintenance of equipment when required
  • Troubleshoot basic computer and printer related errors
  • Financial administration and follow-up on outstanding payments
  • Track sales and expenses
  • Collect time sheets and process wages
  • Order office consumables
  • Order stock for the shops and restaurants
  • Establish relationships with vendors
  • Respond to customer complaints or feedback
  • Promote the business on social media, local listings, run promotions or seasonal campaigns
  • Identify opportunities for growth
  • General administrative support
