About Us

Healius has an extensive network of over medical laboratories and patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional, and remote Australia. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, servicing large hospitals, private, and public hospitals, as well as small Indigenous communities. Your Responsibilities

As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Collecting blood and non-blood samples with care and attention
  2. Maintaining meticulous records for each patient and sample
  3. Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
  4. Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
  5. Liaising with customers, clinic staff, and couriers
Ideal Candidate Profile

To succeed, you should be an experienced Pathology Collector or have a Cert III and be looking to start your career in this field. Alternatively, a Registered Nurse seeking regular daytime shifts or someone with healthcare experience and strong customer service focus is encouraged to apply.

We support your growth with fully paid training and mentoring. Attributes and skills include:

  • Experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy / Certificate III in Pathology Collection or healthcare background
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with empathy
  • Organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in solo clinics
  • Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, New Zealand citizenship, or valid work visa
  • Vaccination evidence such as Hepatitis B; other vaccinations may be required depending on location
