Job Description

The job incumbent will be responsible for the following within the GI & Respiratory team:

  1. Selling, detailing, and promoting products in a designated area to targeted private sector clients.
  2. Assisting with the organization and presentation of divisional activities, conferences, speakers, programs, and other promotional events in the designated areas and/or nationally.
  3. Implementing action plans in accordance with the marketing/sales strategy of the company.
  4. Personally visiting and liaising with relevant targeted clients, crucial to the company's performance, as agreed with the respective Regional Sales Manager / National Sales Manager.
  5. Maintaining a database of all targeted clients.
  6. Liaising with the Regional Sales Manager / National Sales Manager regarding the effective exploitation of business opportunities in the designated areas with GI and Respiratory.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of the South African pharmaceutical industry and healthcare-related events.
  • Ability to solidify and expand business relationships.
  • Ability to convey messages and motivate audiences.
  • Efficient management of budgets and resources within the scope of the business model and expense policy guidelines.
  • Proven ability to sell products and achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to learn product/disease entity information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-energy organization.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing principles.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, especially Excel and data analysis.
