Job description

SHEQ Assistant required in Meadowdale, Germiston.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented SHEQ Assistant to support our SHEQ Department Manager in maintaining high standards of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality compliance.

This hands-on role contributes to ensuring legal adherence, certification upkeep, and the smooth execution of SHEQ processes in our label printing facility.

Salary: R20 000 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintaining ISO 22000 and FSC Certification documentation.
  • Help manage COID claims, EWASA registration, and general compliance tracking.
  • Support daily OHS inspections and coordinate with cleaning staff.
  • Maintain and update SHEQ records, procedures, and training materials.
  • Participate in internal audits and follow up on NCRs and action plans.
  • Aid in waste management coordination and general SHEQ administration.

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001/ISO 22000 systems and auditing.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (non-negotiable).
  • 1–3 years of experience in a SHEQ or administrative role preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and general office tools.
