Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Build sustained relationships with targeted audiences within the FMCG industry to differentiate our business and strengthen our brand.
- Contribute to developing effective sales and marketing strategies for FMCG.
- Ensure the corporate image and branding are consistent across all sales channels in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
- Utilize extensive product knowledge and understanding of FMCG marketing and sales trends to communicate with clients, understand their needs, and recommend solutions that maximize value.
- Achieve sales targets for each FMCG brand.
- Understand our ideal FMCG customers and how they relate to our offerings.
- Maintain relationships with important clients through regular visits, understanding their needs, and identifying new marketing opportunities.
- Develop and identify new leads using data mining, telesales, and industry networking.
- Gather firsthand market research from clients.
- Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate B2B and B2C trends, brand awareness, and competitive activities.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and coaching sales colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer as part of HR objectives.
- Stay current in the industry by attending educational events, conferences, reading publications, and maintaining professional networks.
- Develop business plans, meet goals, and coordinate with marketing on lead generation.
- Recognize opportunities and convert leads into long-lasting FMCG partnerships.
- Work closely with the Business Unit Leader to generate FMCG sales leads through meetings and calls with warm leads, providing detailed requirements for pitches.
- Ensure marketing and sales channels meet customer needs and targets.
- Identify new methods and channels for promoting offerings, including cost-effective advertising options.
- Provide regular reports on client pipelines and sales outcomes relative to targets.
- Recommend improvements and outline implementation timelines.
- Collaborate on budget planning and expense monitoring, controlling budgets, and resource allocation.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Sales Management, Business Management, or related field, or 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, and Account Management.
- 5–10 years' experience in advertising and media sales to the FMCG industry.
- Proven success in similar roles with a strong understanding of market dynamics and sales techniques within FMCG.
- Good knowledge of B2B & B2C sales, active promotion of offerings, and experience utilizing various FMCG marketing and sales channels.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and contract management skills.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, along with creativity and commercial acumen.
