Our client in the FMCG sector is looking for a Maintenance Foreman to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

POSITION INFO :

Experience and Requirements :

• Matric Certificate
• Code 14 with PDP
• 2-3 years’ experience in Diesel Mechanic
• SAP experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good or organizational skills

Duties :

• To ensure high availability whilst controlling expenses.
• To ensure all invoices, job cards, orders placed, and reports are submitted timeously with minimal errors
• To ensure an exceptional service with regards to that all items are ordered and received with no disruption to the workflow process and work with departments in an ethical manner.
• To have a risk free and well controlled work environment
• Ensure lubricants and diesel are always available
• Assist on-road vehicle breakdowns
• Manage turnaround of trucks in workshop
• Maintain health and Safety standards for the workshop
• Ensure health and safety compliance for workshop contractors
• Achieve agreed trucks, trailers, tail lifts and fridge units service intervals
• Plan and manage maintenance schedule as per manufacturing specifications
• Schedule certificate of fitness for vehicles
• Collect and install truck licenses
• Schedule load tests for tail lifts
• Communicate maintenance schedule to transport controllers
• Ensure all parts, service suppliers, equipment’s are quoted on and order numbers are generated before jobs take place except for monthly contracts
• Ordering of fuel
• Manage service providers
• Manage tire movement process on SAP
