- Lead and manage the full spectrum of financial services within the division.
- Review and interpret monthly management accounts and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct operational analyses to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement.
- Evaluate and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage working capital including debtors, creditors, and inventory.
- Oversee payroll, statutory payments, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure supply chain and financial targets are met.
- Supervise treasury operations, banking profiles, and foreign exchange contracts (FECs).
- Prepare annual financial reporting packs and implement relevant IFRS updates.
- Manage procurement, inventory levels, stock control, and supplier / customer master data.
- Compile, consolidate, and manage budget templates and forecasts.
- Provide analytical support for strategic projects and ad-hoc financial requests.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) essential.
- Previous experience in a wholesale / retail concern is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of forex accounting, forex hedging, FEC's and imports is essential
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in financial management.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, South African financial regulations, VAT, and corporate tax.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Background in project environments will be advantageous.
- Proven success in financial analysis, cost control, internal controls, and corporate governance.
