Electrical Engineer

Location: East London (E16)

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, Days (7am-3pm)

Salary: GBP 60,000

Our client is an established food manufacturer, part of a larger global group, with multiple sites worldwide. Due to growth and continuous improvement projects at the site, they are seeking a new Electrical Engineer to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Serve as one of the Site Electrical Duty Holders, responsible for all electrical infrastructure on site
• Plan upgrades and maintenance of medium & low voltage electrical power networks
• Manage PPM planning and improvements for electrical power distribution, transformers, PLCs, turbines, motors, VSDs, MV/LV switchgear
• Provide hands-on electrical assistance and guidance
• Collaborate with the Site Electrical Manager on capital electrical projects
• Implement continuous improvements, RCA, FMEA, and long-term planning
• Ensure compliance with electrical legislation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experienced industrial electrical engineer
• Experience in manufacturing is beneficial but not essential
• Previous role as a Site Electrical Duty Holder or Senior Authorised Person
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, electrical systems up to 11KV, power generation
• HND / Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Completed a recognized apprenticeship
• Experience in ATEX / CEMEX environments is beneficial
• Background in power generation, power distribution (HV), petrochemical, oil & gas sectors
• Strong PPM and maintenance planning skills
• Experience managing CI capital projects
