Job Description
Source and contract regional contracts in a commoditized and centrally managed manner, to ensure security of supply and optimize supplier performance and value in the allocated portfolio. Act as an interface between Supply Chain and the business. Support data analysis of contracts and sourcing events across strategic commodities and services.
Your Role Will Include
- Sourcing & Contract Management:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities across specific categories, including sourcing plans, event execution, contract administration, inclusive procurement, and supplier performance management.
- Strategic Alignment & Planning:
- Develop and implement sourcing and contracting strategies aligned with regional priorities, global supply chain goals, and business needs.
- Value Creation & Inclusion:
- Drive value through commercial initiatives, supplier engagement, and inclusive procurement, ensuring alignment with performance targets and business priorities.
- Execution & Efficiency:
- Ensure timely, effective, resource-optimized execution of contracts, delivering value-driven sourcing outcomes.
Interface Management
- Stakeholder & Supplier Collaboration:
- Act as primary liaison for resolving Supply Chain issues, fostering collaboration, and managing strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and value.
- Contract Handover & Implementation:
- Ensure smooth handover of contracts to site-based teams for effective implementation and ongoing performance management.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):
- Embed SRM practices within operations to build strong, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships and support negotiations to enhance outcomes.
- Advisory & Policy Support:
- Educate and advise stakeholders on Supply Chain policies, standards, and strategies to ensure compliance and effective execution.
Reporting and Information Support
- Data Management & System Support:
- Maintain a centralized system for managing legal and electronic files, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Business Intelligence & Optimization:
- Use data analysis to identify process gaps and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and supply chain optimization.
Qualifications
- Diploma in a relevant discipline; postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
Experience
- Proven practical experience in a similar role and context.
- 5+ years' experience in a supply chain function is advantageous.
- Exposure to the Supply Chain and/or commercial environment is advantageous.
- SAP Ariba experience is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and integrity.
- Excellent communication skills and team orientation.
- Effective document management skills.
