Group Finance Graduate Program

Purpose of the Role

The Finance Graduate Trainee Program is designed to provide exposure within the Finance spectrum.

This program offers an opportunity to understand how we manage the finances of Bayer's South Africa divisions.

Our goal is to develop future leaders through a functional talent program, including a central assignment.

The trainee program includes projects that will challenge you, mentorship to support your growth, and training to accelerate your personal development.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  • During the rotational program, you will gain in-depth insight into various Finance functions.
  • Rotation discussions will be held with the Finance and Tax teams.
  • You will support finance activities in the country, gaining end-to-end finance experience.
  • You will be assigned responsibilities and work on projects within our Finance functions.
  • You will follow a structured learning plan focusing on specific areas throughout the program.
  • You will be mentored by experienced accountants, who will provide feedback and help you develop.
  • This includes practical skills development, business knowledge, and familiarity with multiple systems.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
  • Bachelor Honours in Accounting or a relevant/ equivalent finance qualification.
  • 0-2 years of working experience.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong social and intercultural skills for working in a multicultural environment.
  • Enthusiasm for a career in Finance.
