Main Purpose of Position

Responsible for transforming the organization into an insights-driven, channel-led entity by automating standard reporting and enabling self-service insights.

Key Performance Areas

Strategic Focus

• Plan and manage the delivery of quality software on time.
• Provide daily progress updates during check-ins, indicating progress, effort, risks, and issues.
• Manage releases according to the software release process.
• Take ownership of your deliverables and ensure commitments are met.

Technology Innovation

• Take accountability for your database and report designs.
• Deliver safe and secure designs that mitigate safety and security risks.
• Ensure design completion before coding begins and that designs are reviewed.

Risk Consulting (including Cyber)

• Ensure delivered software is safe and secure, mitigating safety and security risks.
• Adhere to industry coding standards and ensure code reviews.

Operational Excellence

• Train first-line support on database changes.
• Provide second-level support in production.
• Incorporate feedback to enhance databases continually.
• Resolve software issues promptly to ensure excellent customer service.

Operating Model

• Stay informed about current and new business operations, software, and technical skills.
• Understand business operations, systems, and project management practices thoroughly.
• Continuously improve technical skills.

Critical Competencies

• Experience in creating and maintaining SSRS reports.
• Proficiency in scripting with T-SQL.
• Familiarity with relational databases and data warehouse concepts.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and Agile Scrum teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
• 4-5 years' experience in developing databases and BI reports.
• Advanced skills in SQL Server Reporting Services and Management Studio.
• Experience with financial databases and relational databases.
• Experience with Pastel/Sage is advantageous.
