Package: R 972 612 00 (All-inclusive package)

Requirements:

• BChD or equivalent qualification. Must have completed community service.
• Registration with the HPCSA as a Dentist in the independent practice category.
• Demonstrable interest in the discipline will be advantageous.
• Completion and passing of primary subjects (anatomy and physiology) are targets to meet entry requirements for a registrar’s position.
• Performance review occurs every 6 months, with contract renewal after one year based on satisfactory performance. The maximum contract period is two years.

Duties:

• Service rendering, screening, student supervision, lecturing, presentation of academic seminars, and involvement in research.

• Positions are joint appointments between the Gauteng Department of Health and academic institutions: University of Witwatersrand, University of Pretoria, and Sefako Makgatho University.
