Job Description
- Strategic Management: Implement the Training Centre's strategic plan and manage all aspects of the business to ensure profitability through increased sales, effective budget management, optimal resource allocation, and cost-effective utilization.
- Business Development: Develop and implement a sales and business development plan to expand the company's client base, strengthen market presence, and achieve sales and growth targets.
- Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical needs, assess requirements, and develop solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance the training centre's reputation and expand its trades, products, and services.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and support to the team to ensure targets and outputs align with the centre's vision and mission.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in conjunction with facilitators and team members, aligned with industry standards and requirements.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Manage risks and ensure adherence to regulations and standards, including SETAs, NAMB, and QCTO requirements.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Industry Knowledge & Research: Stay updated with industry best practices, conduct research, and maintain expertise on industry trends, competitors, and standards.
- Reporting & Submissions: Prepare management reports and handle all sales, regulatory, and compliance submissions.
Minimum Requirements
- Trade qualification such as Welding, Electrical, Millwright, or equivalent.
- Business-related qualification (advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a Technical Training Centre.
- Registration with relevant SETAs.
- Deep industry knowledge and understanding of SETAs, NAMB, and QCTO.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a profitable Training Centre.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities.
