Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Poultry Shift Manager to join our clients team in the North West region. The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our poultry facility, ensuring that all production targets are met and that operational efficiency is maximized.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, organize, and execute daily production schedules in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  2. Manage and supervise a team of production workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
  3. Monitor and analyze production processes, identifying and implementing improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  4. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all products meet company standards.
  5. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  6. Communicate with other managers and departments to coordinate activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
  7. Maintain accurate records of production data, including inventory levels, yields, and equipment maintenance.
  8. Develop and implement training programs for production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements:
  1. At least 3 years of experience in a poultry production environment, with previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  2. Strong knowledge of poultry processing and production techniques.
  3. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  4. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and production management software.
  7. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
