Job Description

We are entering our next phase of growth and are now looking to establish a dynamic, tech driven capability in Cape Town. We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to broaden our engineering capabilities – this will involve optimising data pipelines to build robust data storage and processing systems that support our software applications.

We will provide everything you need to work remotely in this role, however as we grow our new office based in Cape Town we are excited to build a flexible hybrid working option to allow for team collaboration in person as we continue to scale.

As a Data Engineer, your expertise will be critical in transforming and preparing large volumes of data for analysis, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to develop efficient strategies for data collection, management, and storage, while developing and documenting data engineering best practices, architectures, and workflows.

Requirements

The ideal person for this role will have a strong understanding of data architecture and engineering principles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions. In this role,. Your responsibilities will extend to monitoring and maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring that it is both efficient and secure. As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to the company’s commitment to excellence in data handling, ultimately driving our software solutions to achieve competitive advantages in the market.
