A multinational corporation specializing in optical, imaging, and industrial products is urgently seeking an Accounting Manager to join their tech-savvy and diverse finance team on a 12-month contract basis. This role requires an individual passionate about accounting practices, economic principles, applicable laws, codes, regulations, and auditing practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing, and other accounting functions for the organization.
2. Ensure adherence to the organization’s accounting policies and practices.
3. Oversee and evaluate the activities of the accounting staff.
4. Prepare or lead the preparation of reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position.
5. Produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external use in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with sections of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Extensive experience is essential as the role requires the ability to hit the ground running.

Requirements

• Qualification: CA(SA) with completed board exams.
• Experience: At least 8 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with GAAP and SOX.
• Additional Skills: Good knowledge of budget management and financial risk management.
