A Leading Pharmaceutical company is seeking a Dischem Key Account Manager to drive Front Shop sales within the channel.
Key Objectives :
- Ability to negotiate on a national level i.e. Trading Terms , new product listings, national promotional grid and in-store execution.
- Manage & maintain a profitable account (G2N & P&L management)
- Conduct regular trade reviews with key accounts to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with buyers, particularly within the Health & Medicinal categories.
- Develop trusted advisory relationships with key accounts and executive stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of customer-specific solutions and promotional activities.
- Communicate progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Forecast and track key account metrics to optimize sales and inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities within the Dis-Chem Channel through networking and strategic partnerships.
- Execute national account agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and promotional commitments.
- Develop and implement customer business plans in alignment with company objectives.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Deliver compelling, fact-based sales presentations using data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to optimize promotional execution.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and pharmacy events to strengthen market positioning.
- Report all adverse events and safety information as per company and relevant Regulatory processes and requirements.
Minimum Requirements :
- Matric plus appropriate tertiary qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven Key Account Management experience within the Dis-Chem Channel.
- Gauteng Based Position
- Established relationships with Dis-Chem Buyers and decision-makers in the Health & Medicinal categories.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Key Account Management experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry. Preferably with Dis - chem
- Proven track record of managing high-value accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Hands-on experience with trade negotiations, promotional planning, and retail execution.
