SAICA Trainee / Junior CA(SA) Accountant

Our client, a reputable medium size accounting and auditing firm based in Somerset West, is looking for a motivated SAICA Trainee and / or Junior Audit Accountants to join their growing Audit Department.

This role will be ideal for candidates who are currently in process of or have completed their SAICA-accredited qualifications and are eager to gain valuable experience in a professional & audit accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in auditing, financial reporting, and accounting functions in line with SAICA standards.
2. Conduct reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
3. Support senior accountants in financial advisory and consulting services.
4. Keep up to date with IFRS, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaborate with clients to provide financial insights and solutions.

Requirements:

1. Education: BCom Accounting or equivalent degree accredited by SAICA.
2. Enrolled or planning to enrol in a SAICA training contract.
3. 1-5 years of experience in an accounting firm (preferred for mid-level applicants).
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing, and taxation.
5. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Pastel, Xero).
6. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: R – R per month, dependent on skills and experience.
