Purpose of the job:
Responsible for providing specialist technical leadership in remuneration and HR Information systems. In addition, takes the lead for planning, project coordination, management, and support in developing a cost-effective human resources information system (HRIS) and remuneration practices while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the HR organization.
Main Responsibilities:
Compensation and Benefit Management
- Conduct salary studies and market analyses to gain insights into the common market.
- Develop salary ranges and coordinate approval processes through the leadership of the Head of Talent & Culture.
- Champion the job evaluation process and maintain job profile data for internal parity and equitable pay.
- Research, develop, and implement Integrated Total Reward strategies.
Provide Training & Leadership on HR systems
- Train and support the business community in navigating the SAGE People system for accessing organizational structures and reports, and updating personnel data.
- Provide user and technical support on all HR systems (Learner Management System, Performance Management, Talent, iRecruit, Job Management, etc.).
- Provide user training to enable effective system use and understanding of security protocols.
Maintenance of HR Systems
- Control the creation, maintenance, and restructuring of positions daily or as needed.
- Update SAGE People 300 modules to reflect organizational restructuring.
- Maintain information on Performance and Talent Management.
Troubleshooting and Data Validation
- Validate and maintain HR system data for integrity and accuracy.
- Identify operational system concerns and recommend remedies.
- Conduct user needs analysis, liaise with development teams, and test systems.
Consulting and Project Management
- Manage HRIS and Remuneration projects.
- Provide consulting to system users, including proposing software specifications.
- Support project managers with technical and user support on HR systems.

Minimum and Essential Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (NQF 7) in Behavioural Science, BCom, or equivalent.
- Five years of IT systems experience, including at least 2 years in HR systems and 3 years in Compensation.
- Two years managing HRIS.
- Experience in compensation, benefits, and job evaluation is an advantage.
- SARA Certification and Job Evaluation Certification are advantageous.
