We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst based in Randburg / Ferndale with experience in using Hogan and Plexis, who can handle collections and recovery on accounts, engage and remind customers about payments, identify early risks, converse with customers regarding defaulting accounts, make payment arrangements on consumer accounts, assess and make adjustments on accounts, and assist with ongoing credit and risk management, as well as provide collection support and administration to control exposure.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage costs / expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
  2. Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
  3. Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with stakeholders, including end-users, SME's, project managers and senior staff
  4. Maintain expert knowledge on legislative amendments, industry best practices, and provide proactive advice to stakeholders
  5. Monitor daily overdrawn printouts and undertake referrals to reduce overdrawn accounts
  6. Comply with governance, legislative, and audit requirements
  7. Monitor and control branch OCS queues, SAD queues to reduce activities to zero
  8. Approve all facility requests within LDA and analyze requests outside LDA with recommendations
  9. Manage dormant accounts to increase retention and decrease costs
  10. Manage account categorization within portfolio and ensure accounts are up to date
  11. Manage collection processes to increase recovery and efficiency
  12. Gather and distribute relevant business information
  13. Manage personal development to enhance skills and competencies

Candidate Profile

  1. You will be an ideal candidate if you have 2-3 years' experience in credit, collections, or recovery
  2. Experience with Hogan and Plexis (advantageous)
  3. Knowledge of account risk management
  4. Experience in making payment arrangements
  5. Qualifications: Diploma at NQF Level 6 or Degree (advantageous) or equivalent qualifications
