Job summary

A leading company in Kempton Park is seeking a Senior Sales Executive / Business Development Manager to drive sales and develop new markets across Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, leadership skills, and be fluent in French and/or Portuguese. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, preparing quotations, and achieving sales targets. A valid passport and willingness to travel are essential.

Senior Sales Executive / Business Development Manager (Kempton Park)

Position Overview:

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years sales experience in Industrial, Mining, Exports, Storage Facilities, or Rentals, with a proven track record of meeting targets
  • Experience traveling within Africa (valid passport required)
  • Experience in exports
  • Fluency in French and/or Portuguese
  • Leadership, training, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to act as 2IC, demonstrating responsibility and loyalty
  • Proactive, driven, and self-motivated personality
  • Strong numeracy and calculation skills

Key Duties:

  • Promote sales, conversions, and rentals to meet budget expectations
  • Prepare and submit quotations to clients
  • Develop new markets and secure new clients in Africa
  • Manage existing clients and build a pipeline of opportunities
  • Complete administrative tasks related to sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, data entry)
  • Proactively engage with accounts using customer databases
  • Develop and maintain relationships through prospecting, networking, and digital marketing
  • Stay updated on industry developments and competitors
  • Provide regular reports on industry and division developments
  • Achieve KPIs as per schedule
  • Engage with existing clients monthly through calls and meetings
  • Promote current products via various channels
  • Set and meet targets for new business and leads
  • Identify gaps in current business and develop action plans
  • Promote self-storage facilities where applicable
  • Participate in management training and act as 2IC when needed
  • Maintain familiarity with IT systems, including CRM
  • Assist with marketing and advertising strategies
