Senior Sales Executive / Business Development Manager (Kempton Park)
Important : To travel quarterly into Africa, fluent in Portuguese and/or French! Valid Passport required for application.
Position Overview:
- Matric
- Tertiary degree in Sales and Marketing, Exports, or related field
Requirements:
- 4-8 years sales experience in Industrial, Mining, Exports, Storage Facilities, or Rentals, with a proven track record of meeting targets
- Experience traveling within Africa (valid passport required)
- Experience in exports
- Fluency in French and/or Portuguese
- Leadership, training, and mentoring skills
- Ability to act as 2IC, demonstrating responsibility and loyalty
- Proactive, driven, and self-motivated personality
- Strong numeracy and calculation skills
Key Duties:
- Promote sales, conversions, and rentals to meet budget expectations
- Prepare and submit quotations to clients
- Develop new markets and secure new clients in Africa
- Manage existing clients and build a pipeline of opportunities
- Complete administrative tasks related to sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, data entry)
- Proactively engage with accounts using customer databases
- Develop and maintain relationships through prospecting, networking, and digital marketing
- Stay updated on industry developments and competitors
- Provide regular reports on industry and division developments
- Achieve KPIs as per schedule
- Engage with existing clients monthly through calls and meetings
- Promote current products via various channels
- Set and meet targets for new business and leads
- Identify gaps in current business and develop action plans
- Promote self-storage facilities where applicable
- Participate in management training and act as 2IC when needed
- Maintain familiarity with IT systems, including CRM
- Assist with marketing and advertising strategies
