Job description

  • Define and execute the companys long-term vision and strategy with a focus on growth and profitability growth to ensure competitiveness in the retail sector
  • Identify opportunities for expansion, diversification, and innovation in retail offerings.

Operational Excellence :

  • Oversees financial planning, budgeting, and performance, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
  • Ensures efficient and effective supply chain operations
  • Oversees the management of physical stores, including customer experience, visual merchandising, and employee engagement.
  • Drives operational excellence
  • Ensures the company delivers a seamless omnichannel experience
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Oversees product category management and development
  • Leads the companys financial strategy, ensuring profitability, cost control, and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Develops and manages budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics specific to the retail environment.
  • Evaluates pricing strategies, promotional activities, and product mix to maximize revenue and profitability.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Develops and implements strategies to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Analyzes customer data and feedback to inform business decisions
  • Fosters a customer-first culture
  • Builds and maintains strong trade supplier & key stakeholder relationships

Digital Transformation

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive e-commerce and digital strategy

Ideal Candidates will possess the following :

Experience and Expertise :

  • Proven track record as a CEO / MD or in a senior executive role in the retail industry, with strong operational and commercial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of retail dynamics, including store operations, e-commerce, merchandising, supply chain, and consumer behaviour.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling retail businesses, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Experience :
