Job description

Role Overview

As the Business Line Manager, you will take full responsibility for the performance, development, and profitability of the service division. You’ll lead a team spread across the region, drive commercial and operational strategies, and build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic visibility.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute service growth strategies across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  2. Oversee the full portfolio: field service, upgrades, maintenance contracts, and remote support.
  3. Manage operational performance, team productivity, and service quality metrics.
  4. Lead, mentor, and support a multi-location service team.
  5. Take full ownership of the division's profit and loss performance.
  6. Collaborate with internal departments including sales, logistics, and technical support.
  7. Engage directly with clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships.
  8. Implement process improvements and identify new service revenue opportunities.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA advantageous).
  2. 8-10 years of experience in a service or operational leadership role within an industrial, technical, or manufacturing environment.
  3. Minimum 5 years in a senior management role with regional team oversight.
  4. Strong customer relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
  5. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  6. Willingness to travel across Southern and Sub-Saharan Africa.
