Role Purpose
We are seeking an O365 Engineer to join our Digital Collaboration Services team within the Digital Workplace Operations Services division. This division supports all technologies related to corporate business systems, end-user computing, email, and other key systems used by our internal employees and contractors globally. The Digital Collaboration Services team oversees O365 and Mimecast (including other email security measures), ensuring up-time, storage, and usage reports across the organization. As an engineer in this area, you will support O365, Email Security, and Mimecast Technology, leading the delivery of high-quality solutions on a tight timeline while adhering to best practices and management protocols.
Requirements
- Matric, plus relevant IT certificate
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a similar field is advantageous
- Minimum of 4 years' experience with Microsoft Exchange, Mimecast, and Microsoft Office 365 applications administration or other email security products
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- MS-900 Certification
- ITIL exposure or accreditation
Duties & Responsibilities
Support O365, Email Security, Mimecast, and the M365 environment, including on-premises versions of Exchange where neededMaintain the information security and governance of O365, Email Security, Mimecast, and the M365 environmentSupport the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Office 365 product suiteSupport the Office 365 suite of applications and stay abreast of product evolutionUnderstand both the engineering and business side of Office 365 and represent the end-user’s needsCollaborate with other teams to ensure email security best practices are followedProactively monitor and analyze email traffic for security threatsInvestigate and respond to email security incidentsProvide a secure environment by implementing controls to manage and mitigate risksSupport data and application migration from legacy systems to Microsoft cloudWork within standard ITIL service management processes of Changes, Incidents, Service Requests, and Problems, and utilize appropriate change and release procedures to ensure smooth operation of business servicesProvide general application support to all functional areas and business unitsKeep up to date with changing technologies and the benefits they may offerPromote ongoing innovation and enhance offeringsProvide training as requiredGovernance and Key Relationships
Build influential relationships with various business units across the organizationExperience
