Job description

To understand the various data sources, how the data flows through the organization, and provide expertise and support by translating business needs into tangible solutions through data analysis, root cause analysis, and recommendations for improvements to data pipelines, data quality, metadata, master and reference data, and data access management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand data sources and map them to target systems and solutions.
2. Provide transformation rules to Data Engineers.
3. Understand business rules and requirements to address specific use cases.
4. Ensure processes align with business objectives and comply with Group Information Architecture.
5. Apply company, business, Group, and relevant industry knowledge for analysis.
6. Prepare and present data analysis findings in reports to stakeholders.
7. Assist in mapping source systems to enterprise data model elements and reference data, engaging with Data Modelers as needed.
8. Query and connect data from disparate sources to identify necessary changes.
9. Conduct various analyses, including time-series and classification models, ensuring high-quality results.
10. Utilize methodologies for data access, analysis, and presentation.
11. Research new data sources and analytical tools to enhance processes and data analysis capabilities.
12. Assess data quality and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data usability.
13. Stay updated on new data assets and products to identify opportunities and trends.
14. Verify data accuracy within relevant thresholds and compare outputs with requirements.
15. Analyze and recommend modifications to data pipelines for existing and new initiatives to prevent duplication and ensure consistency.
16. Partner with stakeholders to understand problems and analyze data to determine scope and severity.
17. Engage with Data teams to understand the data landscape.
18. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
19. Evaluate options based on business needs and provide input on solutions.
20. Coordinate with Data stakeholders for new data requirements or changes, managing timelines and expectations.
21. Identify opportunities for data analytics solutions, such as reports or cubes.
22. Participate in priority sessions and advocate for task prioritization.
23. Ensure proper handover of artifacts to stakeholders.
