Senior Financial Reporting Audit Accountant - Hedge Funds

Role Overview

The primary responsibility is to prepare annual financial statements (AFS) for all funds, review these statements, and manage the audit process from start to finish. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of IFRS, Luxembourg GAAP, and US GAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as the main point of contact for auditors.
  2. Prepare and distribute audit timetables, review audit schedules, and liaise with auditors.
  3. Prepare trial balances from reports such as InvestOne and Advent Geneva.
  4. Prepare interim and annual financial statements.
  5. Compile audit packs and other documentation for auditors.
  6. Manage the audit log and queries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  7. Follow up on outstanding issues and provide feedback to relevant parties.
  8. Update AFS with auditor comments and distribute promptly.
  9. Stay updated on IFRS changes and their impact on financial reporting.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum B Accounting or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of audit or fund accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong system skills and experience with financial systems.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS, Luxembourg GAAP, and US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of fund structures, hedge funds, and unit trusts.
  • Experience in client communication and financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated, with a proven track record of achievement.
