Job Description:

The purpose of Group Resource Geologist is to:

• Cost & budget management providing updates on actuals and forecast.
• Ensuring compliance of resource estimates with international professional standards and government regulations for public disclosures by working with the wider MTS team.
• Corporate governance and compliance.
• Conduct ad hoc resource reviews and audits – internally and externally
• Mineral resources and reconciliation sign-off.
• Contract management (external specialist etc.)
• Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Reporting with full mine to mill reconciliations.
• Performing geological and mineral resource/reserves estimations, modelling, reviews audits and due diligence assessments to maximize value from all assets.
• Management and delivery of resource-reserve mines plans.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct extensive QA/QC monitoring to ensure data and interpretations are accurate
• Oversee and verify models and interpretations built.
• Consolidation of the company’s resources and reserve estimates at operational and corporate level.
• Participates in due diligence reviews and compilation of technical studies.
• Monitors regulatory compliance with respect to mineral resource and mineral reserve estimates.
• Provides geological and resource modelling support to operations and development projects.
• Develop and implement relevant protocols.
• Update or create 3D litho-structural models and mineralized models if required.
• Management of multiple technological projects simultaneously.
• Develops understanding of surface and underground mine engineering, metallurgical testing, mineral processing, cost estimation and construction methodologies.
• Occasionally travels to various sites locally and globally.
• Validate interpretative and analytical data as received.

Job Requirements:

• Certified Database and Geological Modelling Software User.
• Experience in tabular commodities is mandatory.
• Formal professional or technical registration in appropriate area of expertise preferred.
• Advanced Bachelor degree in Geology
• Minimum ten (10) years’ work experience in Operations and Exploration including at least 7 years
  in resource modelling.
• Worked in underground operations and open cast/pit operations – Strong open cast/pit and
  underground hard rock experience at operating mines.
