A leading FMCG company is looking for a Procurement Specialist to be based at their head office in Bryanston.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the Local Business Partner with information and requirements gathered through daily business activities and report regularly.
- Understand business needs within the assigned scope for functional and plant-level requirements in the NiM serviced.
- Perform data retrieval, analysis, and representation as directed, mapping how ordering (P2P) and channels operate within the serviced locations, and identify improvements.
- Interface with local suppliers to assist with supplier development or switch activities as directed by category and sourcing teams.
- Collaborate with HOP and Business partners to integrate sourcing plans into local budgets and price planning processes.
- Integrate innovation, renovation, and post-award cost improvement elements from suppliers into functional or site/production processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit actions.
- Support the Ensure Supply process, including risk analysis and material prioritization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- B Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in Procurement; a background in commodities and finance is beneficial.
- Proven success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies that deliver competitive advantage over 2-3 years.
- Ability to lead projects successfully.
- Experience with risk management, responsible sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong negotiation skills in cross-functional and cross-market teams.
