Overview

PM Group Ireland is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer due to successful project wins. Our business continues to grow at both local and international levels. We are currently recruiting team members to support key project delivery. We are executing exciting and important projects for our multi-national clients, providing great opportunities to develop your career.

To be considered for the role, you will have previously worked on large projects (TIC > 200MM) from concept to completion. The purpose of this role is to serve as the technical lead of the Building Services engineering design team to ensure we achieve our project deliverables. Location

The role is based in Ireland, and the successful hire will be supported with the work permit application and relocation assistance.

Hybrid Working

We currently operate a hybrid model with a mix of office work (2/3 days) and remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Developing innovative design solutions for new projects.
  • Interfacing with client design teams and end users.
  • Leading technical and safety reviews.
  • Design of building services engineering – leading the preparation of AFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing calculations.
  • Managing personnel in the execution of the project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing HVAC system BIM modelling progress by your team.
  • Planning resources, measuring, and reporting progress against deliverables.
  • Estimating resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Delivering the agreed design scope within budget, hours, and schedule.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8).
  • Significant design experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or chemical industry.
  • Experience leading teams, with a focus on coaching and developing future leaders.
  • Strong design experience of utilities, including Steam, LPHW, CHW.
  • Ability to work with and guide teams is essential.
