Social Investment Specialist - Social Impact

This role involves driving social investment strategy, managing strategic programmes, and mentoring social investment analysts to achieve high standards of social impact.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, ACTIVITIES AND INDICATORS
Client Strategy and Implementation
- Design strategies and initiatives to drive social impact through entrepreneurial and partnership-building approaches to complex problems.
- Engage stakeholders, develop partnerships, and conduct research to support initiatives.
- Work with private and public-sector partners, including civil society, donors, businesses, and government, to promote social impact.
- Assess flagship initiatives for social investment through comprehensive due diligence.
- Represent the company and clients in strategic investments, participate in meetings, and contribute to systemic goals.
- Collaborate with clients to identify challenges and develop solutions via regular meetings, reporting, and discussions.
- Support various social investment advisory projects for different clients.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
- Design data-driven monitoring and evaluation processes to measure social investment impact.
- Promote data analysis and decision-making culture within the organization.
- Ensure accurate monitoring and evaluation of client investments, demonstrating social impact.
- Provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders on social investment activities.
Strategy and Implementation
- Develop and refine the company's social investment strategy to stay at the forefront of global practices.
- Position the company as a leader in social investment through participation in industry events and stakeholder engagement.
- Create targeted sector strategies (e.g., education, health, livelihoods) to maximize impact.
- Identify strategic opportunities across sectors and leverage resources for scale.
- Support and coach social investment analysts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Enhance the company's profile by providing sector insights and expertise.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum five years' experience in social investment, grantmaking, or impact investing.
- At least two years in project advisory or consulting in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to design and manage complex strategies and initiatives.
- Experience in areas like GBV, livelihoods, enterprise development, youth issues, or green economy is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

- Internal stakeholders, clients, sector experts, government, and donors.
