Technical Business Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Engage with stakeholders to understand business problems and needs, translating those into detailed technical and/or functional requirements, including process, data, people, and technical workflow specifications.
2. Analyse and understand the end-to-end flow of application teams during data migration, supporting architecture and considering all touchpoints and impacts when analyzing new or existing business requirements.
3. Identify and promote opportunities for optimisation, re-use, and standardisation within BMW Platforms.
4. Build and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, demonstrating abilities to initiate dialogue, listen, advise, influence, and negotiate for positive outcomes.
5. Initiate meetings with key stakeholders to track progress, manage expectations, and ensure requirements are delivered.
6. Collaborate with the team on solutions that meet requirements and align with the architectural roadmap.
7. Coordinate with integration teams, sharing business and technical requirements.
8. Assist with query and complaint management promptly.
9. Participate in testing and troubleshooting to ensure solutions meet technical and functional specifications.
10. Document all technical requirements, evaluations, recommendations, assessments, and feasibility analyses.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Proficient in gathering and analysing requirements for data-intensive applications/systems and building solutions.
• Understand the current tech stack to lead discussions and build backlogs.
• Experience in developing process flows, data flows, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of information system concepts and technologies.
• Ability to interface with the business to meet requirements and targets.
• Experience in eliciting requirements, designing current and future states.
• Skilled in creating technical specifications, Epics, Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Definition of Done.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies and Migrations.
• Ability to interpret requirements into user interface and UX considerations.
• Data modelling and data visualisation skills.
• Experience in solution design and implementation using Codebeamer.

Qualifications / Experience:

• BA / BS Degree in IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience (4+ years).
• Mid to Senior role experience (3+ years), total experience over 6 years preferred.
• 5-7 years in a business/systems analysis role.
