Key purpose

The key purpose of this role is to manage the foreign exchange, money market, debt, and cash management risk on behalf of the subsidiaries of ABInBev that operate within the Africa region. This entails monitoring, maintaining, executing, and reporting on the group treasury risk management policy, under the banner of the Africa Zone Treasury.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Occupational Health, Safety, and Risk: Ensure that brewery quality and safety targets are met.
  • Ensure overall reliability of production, process optimization, asset management, and plant availability.
  • Adherence to AB InBev and global packaging quality standards.
  • Ensure packaging strategy implementation and support.
  • Ensure line audits are complete by machine as per Zone Technical Experts guidelines.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and develop training plans for team members.
  • Develop appropriate competencies in the team and ensure cross-skilling within the packaging shift team.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Packaging Levels 1, 2, 3.
  • Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and waste reduction.
  • Investigate plant failure modes and causes for repeat failures to address root causes.

  • Proven people management skills and a track record of disciplined work ethic with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent understanding of VPO and effective communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-managed, assertive, and capable of effective communication at all business levels.
  • Creative, broad-minded thinker with a dynamic personality, self-starter, and energetic.
  • Ability to be a change agent with influential power.
  • Provide operational support to autonomous shift-based teams on process problem solving, offering expert advice and guidance.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and uphold process and quality standards.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring, addressing deviations through non-conformance management procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant Degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Instrumentation).
  • Belt training certification.
  • Packaging technical/management/global management trainee experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of factory production experience at a management level.
