Night Quality Supervisor - Life Fourways Hospital

A vacancy exists for a Night Quality Supervisor at Life Fourways Hospital, reporting to the Nursing Standards Manager, Judy Naidoo.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading the provision of quality patient care during the night shift, supporting hospital and nursing objectives related to quality, growth, and staff development.

Critical Outputs

1. Effective quality management
2. Communicating, supporting, coaching, and monitoring night staff to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
3. Identifying clinical competence issues and addressing them with the line manager
4. Participating in and leading quality improvement projects to foster a culture of quality

Effective operations management

1. Ensuring staff allocations are appropriate
2. Understanding stock management processes to meet unit targets
3. Managing unplanned events effectively to optimize resource utilization
4. Providing direction and motivating staff to maintain high productivity and morale

Relationship building with stakeholders

1. Exercising visible leadership to motivate night staff and management
2. Participating in meetings to build productive relationships with external stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Registered with SANC
• Management experience is advantageous
• Proven leadership abilities
