Job Description
Job Purpose

To support the Store Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the store and service excellence by driving sales and building customer loyalty to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets, leading to a competitive advantage for the brand.

Job Objectives
  • To ensure the achievement of the store's financial performance by driving and maximising sales through promotional activities, cross-selling, up-selling initiatives, and superior customer service.
  • To efficiently execute operational activities including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
  • To execute in-store visual merchandising, ensuring presentation and promotional standards are met in line with brand image.
  • To support the Store Manager in motivating staff, achieving targets, and managing performance in the manager's absence.
  • To assist in maintaining the work schedule according to group policies to ensure appropriate staffing.
  • To implement customer service initiatives that enhance customer experience, drive loyalty, and meet club card participation targets.
  • To manage administrative responsibilities effectively, including weekly time and attendance records.
  • To promote the brand as the customer's first choice health and beauty retailer by embodying company values.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50%, English 50%)
  • Essential: Relevant Retail / Business Management qualification (external applicants)
  • Desirable: Degree in Retail / Business Management
  • Minimum 1 year experience in assistant store management within retail/FMCG or successful completion of Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, ratios)
