Job description

What You Will Do

The main purpose of the role is to manage and control all functions in the parts warehouse.

Reporting: This position reports to the Parts Manager.

Job Objectives
  • Opening and closing of job cards.
  • Ensure and oversee that the receiving of goods is done according to Volvo procedure.
  • Ensure all parts are received accurately against documentation and within prescribed time as set by KPI standards.
  • Record all discrepancies on the GDS system when parts received are not conforming to standards and documentation descriptions and part numbers.
  • Ensure parts are stored and binned correctly.
  • Confirm correct bin allocation as per the GDS system.
  • Process all customer order requests and ensure correct picking, packing, and distribution of parts according to Volvo procedures.
  • Dispatch correct parts and quantities as per invoice.
  • Check and sign off credit notes for processing, and file them in sequence.
  • Follow proper procedures when processing credits, ensuring no electrical parts are returned.
  • Perform daily perpetual stock counts as per set quantities.
  • Investigate discrepancies thoroughly.
  • Authorize and update adjustments after investigation.
  • Maintain neatness inside and outside the warehouse.
  • Collect waste timely.
  • Ensure parts from customers meet exchange standards.
  • Pack and label core parts for return to PDC.
  • Handle physical receiving and storage.
  • Prepare supplier/core returns.
  • Ensure warehouse personnel comply with health and safety rules as per Volvo procedures.
