Storage Specialist

Our client, leaders in the Road Transport Solutions space, has a permanent vacancy for a Storage Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Storage, SAN, and Compute hardware by providing OEM best practices through designing, implementing, and deploying shared system resources, like disks and networking.

Responsibilities include:

• Performance analysis, troubleshooting, data recovery strategies for critical systems, and data backup measures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Undergraduate degree/diploma in IT or currently working towards completing a Degree/Diploma in IT
• Experience and certifications with various hardware vendors
• ITIL certification
• A+ and N+ Certifications
• 5+ years' experience in an Enterprise IT Environment
• Experience managing HPE 3PAR StoreServ I and II, or certified
• Experience implementing MSA Storage Solutions, or certified
• Brocade SAN Enterprise Experience, or certified
• Knowledge and experience with systems and systems integration
• Managing 15 Petabytes
• Technical lead for planning, building, and operating HPE 3PAR series, HPE MSA, HPE Physical servers (various models), SAN – Physical and Fabrics (Director Class, Blade Chassis switches)
