Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Regional Manager to oversee operations within their warehousing, cleaning, and security divisions.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing large teams and coordinating services across multiple sites.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all operational processes run smoothly, focusing on customer satisfaction, performance, and profitability.
This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in key accounts or similar management roles in warehousing, cleaning, or security.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a team of site managers and staff in warehousing, cleaning, and security functions. Provide coaching and support to ensure high performance, employee development, and a positive work culture.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple facilities across the region, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and according to contract specifications. Ensure the smooth running of warehouse activities, cleaning schedules, and security protocols.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Ensure that customer requirements are met and exceeded. Handle customer feedback and resolve issues efficiently.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to health and safety regulations, providing a safe environment for employees and clients. Regularly conduct audits to ensure compliance.
- Budget & Cost Management: Oversee regional budgets, manage operational costs, and maximize profitability. Ensure resources are used efficiently within budgetary constraints.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operations. Generate regular reports on performance metrics, including KPIs, and present findings to senior management.
- Quality Control: Maintain cleaning and security standards across all sites. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor service quality.
- Problem Solving: Address operational challenges promptly, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime or service disruption.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification.
- Proven experience in a Regional Manager, Key Accounts Manager, or similar senior operational role.
- Strong background in warehousing, cleaning services, and/or security management (preferably across multiple sites).
- Experience managing teams, including leadership, coaching, and performance development.
- Knowledge of operational processes, health and safety regulations, and quality standards in relevant sectors.
- Ability to manage budgets, monitor costs, and achieve financial targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and teams.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant management software.
- Previous experience managing multiple sites or regions.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in warehousing, cleaning, and security services.
