Job description

As the Hotel Custodian of 10 2nd Avenue Houghton Estate, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations to ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction. Your role will require exceptional attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage operations, front office management, housekeeping, OTA (Online Travel Agency) management, sales, and marketing. You will be an all-rounder with the ability to lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional experiences to our guests. Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee all hotel operations, including food and beverage, front office, housekeeping, OTA management, sales, and marketing.
  • Ensure that all departments operate efficiently and effectively to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue, increase occupancy, and enhance the hotel's reputation.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, budgets, and KPIs to make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety throughout the hotel.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, suppliers, and partners to drive business growth and customer loyalty.

Requirements :

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • 3 years minimum of 5-star Hotel operations and leadership experience in a similar position.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue and improve operational efficiency.
  • Excellent understanding of sales and marketing strategies and plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel management software and industry best practices.
  • Excellent track record of the Food and Beverage department.
  • Excellent track record of the Rooms Divisions department (Front Office and Housekeeping)
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of OTA’s
