Our client, based in Woodmead, is looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you'll work closely with the Buyer and Planner to optimise turnover, manage inventory, and drive gross profit by leveraging analytics, data, and procurement strategies. Any Merchandising experience will be beneficial. Logical thinking, analytical skills, numeracy, effective negotiation, multi-tasking, effective communication, presentation skills, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Assisting Buyer and Product Developer with administrative tasks.
  2. Following up on outstanding purchase orders and short-delivered stock.
  3. Amending purchase orders for suppliers if the incorrect price is on.
  4. Amending purchase orders for the store if they cannot GRV because of the invoice.
  5. Reinstating canceled POs.
  6. Presenting and quoting new products to customers and management.
  7. Order and sample tracking, ensuring on-time supplier shipment.
  8. Analyzing orders with ME Excel spreadsheets and administering orders from placement to final store delivery, including quality control.
  9. Assisting in management of pre-production samples through to production approval.
  10. Viewing MerchExport Report daily and reinstating canceled POs.
  11. Building a Buysheet and entering product details.
  12. Loading minimum stock levels and creating opening orders based on planner calculations.
  13. Maintaining supplier information and liaising with suppliers.
  14. Monitoring references and making adjustments as needed.
  15. Adjusting prices (Cost Price / RSP) according to suppliers and buyers.
  16. Updating system data with correct prices and margins.
  17. Creating new product codes and moving discontinued ranges as per instructions.
