About the role:
Barry Callebaut is seeking a new SEWA Managing Director to support the growth of the SEWA business with the right strategy and strong commercial drive.
The role will oversee functions including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and QA, to execute the business plan and meet volume and margin targets. Sales and Marketing report directly to this role, while other functions have dotted line reporting.
The Managing Director reports to the President, AMEA.
People Leadership and Development : Lead and develop high-performing teams, foster collaboration, attract top talent, develop team members, ensure workforce planning, and drive employee engagement.
Build awareness of BC's sustainability journey and promote an agile, digitally enabled organization.
Stakeholder Management : Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, partners, and industry associations.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, monitor competitive activity, and ensure appropriate responses.
Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and policies. Mitigate risks and maintain ethical standards.
Travel requirements: Estimated travel time is 50%.
About you:
Ideal candidates will have strong relationship-building skills, market and account planning abilities, and a background in food industry sales and leadership (10-15 years).
A Bachelor's or Master's in Economics, Business Administration, or related fields is required.
Experience abroad is a plus.
Proven success in driving business growth, achieving financial targets, and operational excellence is essential.
Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, resilience, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are required.
