Job description

Requirements
  • South African citizen
  • Code B driver's license and own transport
  • Qualifications & Experience
    • Senior certificate (NQF 4)
    • Tertiary qualification relevant to logistics (advantageous)
    • 8-10 years of relevant experience
    • Experience in C-track and Parcel Perfect (advantageous)

  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (oral and written)
Key Performance Indicators
  1. Ensure vehicles depart on time as per schedules
  2. Verify vehicle checks prior to departure
  3. Report incidents, breakdowns, and claims promptly
  4. Address reckless driving, harsh braking, and misuse of vehicles; complete incident reports
  5. Accurately complete vehicle checklists and submit km readings
  6. Provide updates to the Client Service Department (CSD)
  7. Update ETAs for local deliveries upon request
  8. Record vehicle mileages in C-track
  9. Book vehicles for servicing timely
  10. Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy before leaving yard
  11. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and yard
  12. Manage documentation correspondence between branches
  13. Photograph cargo before offloading and after loading; report damages and actions taken
  14. Complete and submit fleet inventory
  15. Verify driver PDPs and escalate as necessary
  16. Maintain warehouse and yard housekeeping
  17. Conduct toolbox and safety meetings, record minutes
  18. Check diesel slips for correct km readings
  19. Implement disciplinary actions when necessary
