Job Purpose
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified and competent individual to oversee and coordinate regional library service delivery (library material and equipment, professional guidance and training and project implementation) in a control area.
An appropriate 3 year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience. A valid code B (or higher) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Recommendation
Experience in Library Collection development.
Key Performance Areas
Oversee the administration and provision of library material and equipment in a control area; Asset management (assets and disposals) in a control area; Provide professional guidance and training in a control area; Project implementation and library planning in a control area; Financial management; People management.
Knowledge of Collection development; Planning and organising; Interpersonal relationships; Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc); Supervision; Communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Remuneration
R 444 036 per annum (Salary level 9)

Notes
