My client is looking for a Mid-Senior Java Full Stack Developer for an in-office role in Cape Town.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years’ experience developing enterprise solutions in Java, with at least 5+ years in retail Point of Sale (POS) solution development, preferably Java-based
2. Hands-on experience with Eclipse, Spring, SVN, JUnit, Webservices, GWT, and CI tools like Jenkins and Nexus
3. Strong SQL skills, particularly for Oracle and/or SQL Server
4. Experience working in large corporations with a matrix structure and interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management
5. Solid business acumen and strong communication skills
6. Familiarity with project management lifecycle concepts (PMLC)
7. Understanding and experience in software ergonomics or UI design
8. Comprehensive IT skills and a strong adherence to coding standards and conventions
9. Advantageous: SAP solution knowledge and SAP integration experience
10. Ability to manage change, prioritize effectively, and handle conflict resolution
11. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
12. Highly organized, with strong time management and attention to detail
13. Self-starter with the ability to learn internal systems (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) quickly
14. Excellent English (written and spoken); German language proficiency is a strong plus
15. Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or similar
