Create data-driven tools to optimize supply chain and asset productivity, enhancing customer value and supporting strategic initiatives

Are you curious, technically skilled, and experienced in data science, AI system design, and cross-functional collaboration across time zones?

As part of the Brambles Data & Analytics team, reporting to the Data & Analytics Lead for AMETA, you will mentor a team of 2 Data Scientists, set standards, and drive major projects. This role can be based in Australia or South Africa.

Responsibilities
  1. Combine advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning with domain expertise to generate actionable insights
  2. Experiment with and implement new data science techniques on projects
  3. Deploy and maintain machine learning models using CI / CD methodologies
  4. Communicate project progress and results to technical and business stakeholders
  5. Manage and guide a small team across multiple time zones
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with relevant experience
  • Proficiency in machine learning models and their deployment
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PySpark
  • Experience with AI system design and Databricks platform
  • Research and develop new algorithms and techniques
  • Experience in large international organizations and data science projects
  • Ability to work independently, deliver results, and communicate findings effectively
  • Knowledge of project management frameworks like Agile and Waterfall
